The two steps authentication process adds an extra layer of security for your Gmail account. If you forget the password of your email and are unable to log in to your account. Then, you can use the two step authentication to access your account. You have to add a phone number Or an email ID to activate for your account. You will receive a verification code on the same when there is an issue accessing your account. Go to the navigation panel in Gmail and click on security. Select the two steps verification option and click on get started. Thereafter, follow the on screen instructions to complete the process.
